From Licensed Psychotherapist to Life Coach
After 15+ years as a licensed therapist in Arizona and Oregon, I founded Redeem Coaching and Consulting to provide high impact support for couples, men, therapists, and other helping professionals that’s accessible, affordable, and reliably effective. My approach is informed by insights from nearly two decades of advanced training and experience, including:
Emotionally-focused, attachment-based couples work and relational repair
Mindfulness-based emotional resilience and performance training that overcomes self-doubt, anger, shame/guilt, grief/loss, and more
Experiential strategies that support holistic, transformational growth
Sustainability recovery and support for helping professionals (e.g. therapists, first responders, clergy, medical providers)
Trauma-informed approaches that foster freedom from the past
Self-talk, self-compassion, self-leadership, self-parenting techniques for resolving past injuries and unmet emotional-relational needs
Why Specialization in Couples, Men, and Helping Professionals?
Couples today face the erosion of the relational rhythms that humans are wired for. I’ve been with my wife for nearly 30 years, and while I’m deeply grateful for our relationship, I know firsthand how hard—and how transformational—strong intimate relationships can be. I want others to experience that same kind of growth, repair, and intimate satisfaction.
Men face a unique set of internal and external challenges. While women have increasingly embraced emotional and relational development, men are often left without culturally attuned models of how to build emotional health, inner strength, and relational presence. Many are misjudged—and misjudge themselves. My work with men is grounded in mindful clarity, attuned empathy, and courageous self-leadership—with zero judgment.
Helping professionals are often among the most giving and insightful people around. But they also face high burnout risk and often lack spaces where they feel safe receiving support themselves. Ironically, the more capable a helper is, the harder it can be to find truly confidential, high-quality care. I want to change that.
Life Coaching vs. Therapy
The distinct aim of life coaching has several unique strengths:
No diagnosis, no clinical record, no stigma
A strengths-based approach built around clients’ goals and potential rather than illness or pathology
Unique accessibility to care without licensure-based geographic restrictions
Greater confidentiality for health professionals
Less licensure-related administrative requirements means more time spent actually helping
Life coaching with me is about clarity, momentum, and sustainable change. Rather than overly focusing on what’s gone wrong, we emphasize work on what can go right. I help clients build lives marked by grounded confidence, meaningful connection, and aligned action.
My Challenge to You
This work is about recognizing what matters most to you and building a life that aligns with those values.
If you’re:
Feeling stuck, burnt out, or a need for helpful support
Facing relational challenges or life transitions
Seeking more clarity, confidence, or emotional balance
… DON’T SETTLE!
The right kind of support can move things forward. Coaching provides a safe, focused, and energizing space to reorient and reset.
